The annual N.C. boys private school all-star game at Providence Day School will feature two McDonald’s All-Americans and 14 college signees.

McDonald’s All-Americans Coby White and Devon Dotson will play on opposite teams in the boys game March 3. White has signed with UNC; Dotson to Kansas. More than 100 players statewide were considered.
Observer-area boys players include Stephen Edoka (Concord First Assembly); Jon Hicklin (Northside Christian); KC Hankton (United Faith); Dotson, Isaac Suffren and Trey Wertz (Providence Day), MJ Armstrong, Nate Hinton and Quan McCluney (Gaston Day); Madison Monroe (SouthLake Christian); and Cannon School’s Qon Murphy and Jairus Hamilton.
The girls game will feature McDonald’s All-American Izabela Nicoletti, who has signed with Florida State. Observer-area stars playing include four from Concord First Assembly (Shamani Stafford, Jessyka Leak, Courtney Meadows and Camille Small); Providence Day’s Kennedy Boyd; Charlotte Latin’s Claudia Dickey; Carmel Christian’s Sherise Jones; and Hickory Grove’s Ellie Johnson.
In addition to the games, the players will participate in a community service project March 2. The girls game will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, followed by the boys at 2:30. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students. Kids under 8 are admitted free.
